Safety of Manicure and Pedicure Services

There have been recent news reports about unhealthy and improper manicure and pedicure services at certain nail salons.
We would like to assure you that you are very safe when getting Manicure and Pedicure services at Elite Hair Studio & Spa! We are taking the highest safety, sterilization and sanitation precautions.

  • We are performing nail services only by appointment, we never rush cleaning or disinfecting!
  • Our service always starts with a proper consultation and analysis of your nails and skin. 
  • Our instruments are always carefully disinfected and sterilized after every client and during the service. 
  • We are providing disposable buffers and files for every client. 
  • The Manicure & Pedicure surfaces are disinfected with an EPA-registered hospital disinfectant.
  • Our whirlpool foot bath is also disinfected with an EPA-registered hospital disinfectant pill/solution and run for 10 min before and after each service. 
  • Our service is concluded with an antiseptic solution and bacterial cream to reduce the possibility of infections, sepsis, or putrefaction. 
  • We never thin out our nail polishes to make sure your are getting the longest lasting Manicure and Pedicure possible.

To provide the best and safest service we do advise our clients:

  • Don't shave your legs for at least 24 hours before the appointment. Nicks and cuts from shaving create small openings in the skin where bacteria can enter. If you have any open sores, wait until they heal before getting a pedicure.
  • Tell the technician your medical conditions and medications. Certain medical conditions and medications can increase the risk of infections. Examples include: diabetes, lymph-edema, peripheral vascular disease (PVD), neuropathy and autoimmune diseases. Examples of medications include: chemotherapy agents and blood thinners such as coumadin.
  • If you want to go the extra mile: We offer to purchase your own instruments. Utensils we offer include: nail nipper, cuticle nipper, cuticle pusher and cutter cleaner.
