Acne got you down?

Breakouts can be super frustrating to deal with and make you want to hide your skin at all costs. Acne is way more common than you think, and there are ways to clear and prevent breakouts, so take a deep breath and keep reading!

It's important to understand what is causing your breakouts so you can properly treat them and banish those blemishes for good.

Here are some top tips for anyone who might be dealing with stubborn acne and how you can get on your road to better skin!

  1. Keep your skin clean- wash your face in the morning and the evening, and if you have worn makeup that day its best to do a double cleanse to ensure you are removing all your makeup and have a clean face.
  2. Don't touch your face- while it can be tempting to pick and pop your pimples, remember how many germs are on your hands throughout the day. Picking your acne can leave you with an infection, and acne scarring.
  3. Visit your esthetician—schedule a complimentary consultation to develop a treatment plan that includes services and home care products.
  4. Be patient—Results take time. Typically, to see results in your skin, you need to allow 8-12 weeks. If you aren't seeing results right away (but your acne is not getting worse), give the products a chance to work before trying to change them up again.
  5. Check out your diet -sometimes we eat things that can cause inflammation and breakouts, a clean whole food diet can help to reduce flare ups and give you a clearer complexion- dont forget to make sure you are hydrated!
