Picking the right shampoo and conditioner

Professional Hair Products at
Elite Hair Studio and Spa
Do you sometimes ask yourself what shampoo to pick and what conditioner?

There is a huge variety available in the market and every brand has its own marketing spin. They all claim to give you full, shiny and strong hair. However, not all shampoos and conditioners are the same. And picking the right ones makes a big difference for your individual skin and hair condition.

As a general rule, we advise our clients: Focus on the scalp when picking the shampoo and on the hair when picking the conditioner.

Shampooing your scalp will properly remove dirt, oil and hair products. For example, if you have a oily scalp, pick a shampoo that is best suited for this condition. We would recommend volumizing, strengthening, or balancing shampoos. They won't add as much moisture to your scalp as others.

Conditioning one the other hand focuses on the hair. It will replenish moisture, seal down the cuticle of your hair, and balance the pH value. It will also increase shine and decrease static and hence make your hair easier to manage. If, for example, you are having dry hair, pick a conditioner that is best suited to hydrate your dry ends.

Please ask one of our stylists with your next appointment for a free and individual consultation. We'd be happy to give you our professional advice for the best at-home-care for your hair & scalp.

Get your makeup flawless every time!

Here's a quick email to teach you how to prep your skin for the perfect makeup application! The perfect makeup is achievable with 5 simple preparation steps, which will leave your skin fresh, glowing, and ready for makeup. Start with your favorite cleanser and work it into the skin for at least one minute to ensure you are getting a proper clean. If you're an overachiever, we highly recommend a double cleanse! Follow this step with a gentle exfoliation to remove the dead skin cells on your face, think of setting it up like a fresh palette to paint. It's important to note you do not have to exfoliate every single day as you don't want to irritate the skin but it would be beneficial to do this step every few days  Using a toner after your exfoliation will help to refresh the skin and shrink the pores and get your skin ready for a perfect makeup application Follow the toner with a nice, hydrating moisturizer for your face and neck. If the moisturizer includes SPF then move...
