How well do you know your skin?

Skin type is determined by genetics, but the condition of our skin can vary depending on internal and external factors. Everyone has their own unique skin type, and based off of which one you are, you should choose the proper products for your skin. Choosing the right products for you is essential not only to select effective products but also to ensure that you aren't picking anything that will irritate your skin but something that will complement it. The Four Skin Types Normal - this skin type is not dry or oily, is primarily blemish-free, has an even tone and texture, and has minimal pores.  Oily - this skin type has a greasy and shiny appearance, is prone to acne and blemishes, and has larger pores. Combination - this skin type is a mix of oily and dry, typically with an oily t-zone area (nose, chin, and a little bit of the forehead) and the cheeks and forehead area being drier. The pores also tend to be larger. Dry - this skin type has a coarser texture and has more pre-mature

Waxing 101

Have you been thinking about trying facial or body waxing but aren't sure if its right for you or what to expect? This one's for you! Here are a couple of tips to get you ready for your first wax appointment: Waxing vs. shaving- waxing pulls the hair directly from the root, rather than just trimming it to the skin, so your smooth skin will last longer with a wax You may experience some redness after your wax, but it's only temporary. Any redness or irritation should subside within a day or two. Regular waxing appointments should be scheduled every 4-6 weeks but can differ on your personal needs. Exfoliation between appointments helps to prevent ingrown hairs and leave your skin softer and with less texture. No, your hair won't grow back thicker because of your wax!
